BX 16v

Post by oldgit » Fri Apr 15, 2016 5:52 pm

Hi all, just joined today. Can anyone give me a rough price i should pay for a 16v in good condition. Had one about 15 years ago and want to return to my youth, its true you do not know how good something is until it is gone. Many thanks.

I'd suggest a "tidy" example, Ready to use with a full MOT and a few minor niggles: £1200-£1500

An "excellent" car, well tickled by an enthusiast with no issues and ready to go: £1800+

But, getting the colour, PH, location and condition you personally want will have a much greater bearing on the price.
Now listen here you mullet...

Thanks, not worried about colour or location, just want one in good / excelent condition, preferably looked after by an enthusiast, that does not cost the earth.

I would also say any reasonable on the road 16v is worth 1200 up and as always mileage and rust plays a big part.

I still see 100k engines complete with gearbox etc offered around £600

can you get rust free cars or are they all repaired now and are body panels still easy to get hold of ? Any help to find or advice on what to look for appreciated.
