Re: Rear wash wipe switch

Hi Mac,

So the car isn't running yet but you're worried about the graphic on a switch, you sound as OCD as me, and unfortunately all the ones I have are worn. I assume its a black switch? I have a brown one with a good graphic some where. I think.

Re: Red Mk1 16v

The pump will prime when you first turn the key from off to ignition, but if you crank and fail to start, it will cut out for safety. Re: Metal fuel lines

I wouldn't fit rubber hose front to back, its just too exposed. Ive seen Americans using hard plastic type pipe which can be easily formed, but i'd try your local citroen dealer first, then maybe Chevronics.

Re: Red Mk1 16v

Working from the tank is the pickup, a rubber hose, the pump, a rubber hose, a pulse damper, rubber hose, metal hose from front to rear sub-frame, rubber hose up into the engine bay and onto the fuel rail. If its pissing out at the rear I would guess that the pulse damper has failed/rotten out. A lo...

Got any pictures?

How much work do you want to do yourself, and what's the budget?. Do you want it back on the road or show room condition.

Return to BX16v.com

Yesterday I received an adhoc invoice for the domain hosting, and found a new and unexpected charge relating to the BX16Valve forum, specifically the forum was running on a legacy PHP version for which the host was now charging a 'penalty'. Consider the forum as running on leaded fuel, and if you've...

Re: Who's on the road (or could be), who is Not?

What work and by whom are you having done Vanny :?: Mike P Well. It started as a bit of putting back together and a check over. Its since turned into various bits of welding (KwikFitted sill ends) and replacement of the windscreen. In theory the screen only needs lifting the damaged caused by the p...
